Tiffany Shaw is the Co-Owner of Shire Counseling and Coaching. Since co-founding the practice in 2023, she has been dedicated to bringing high-quality, specialized mental health services to those in need. Based on the group practices values, we aim to partner with many commercial and Medicaid insurances to ensure access to care. Tiffany is licensed in both Maryland and Pennsylvania offering in-person and telehealth services.

Tiffany specializes in helping clients overcome the impact of trauma through evidence-based and experiential interventions:
· Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): As a registered CPT therapist since 2020, Tiffany utilizes this short-term, intensive treatment to help clients challenge the "stuck points" of past trauma and achieve meaningful recovery.
· Equine Assisted Therapy (Eagala): In 2025, Tiffany became a dually certified Eagala Equine Assisted Therapist and Equine Specialist.
Taking Therapy Beyond the Office
Shire Counseling offers Equine Assisted Therapy to clients of all ages. Her doctoral research focuses on the intersection of ADHD, academic performance, and disciplinary interventions—a focus that allows her to offer specialized insight into the systemic challenges neurodivergent students face.

Emily Berich-Anastasio, MPH LCPC has been working in mental healthcare for over a decade. Emily has worked across multiple levels of care, including outpatient, community, inpatient, and other specialty diagnostic programs, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of behavioral healthcare. Emily believes every individual has strength, insight, and value and that everyone deserves a life worth living. In her work, she is committed to empowering others to create lasting positive outcomes through strengths-based and data-driven care.
Emily also has a background in clinical research and data science. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from the College of Charleston. Emily then earned a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in addition to Graduate Certificates in Public Mental Health Research and Mental Health Policy, Economics, & Services. While at Johns Hopkins, she worked with the Wendy Klag Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. She later earned her Professional Counseling Studies Certificate from University of Baltimore.

Emily is passionate about delivering neurodivergent affirming care, and has a deep understanding of Autism Spectrum and other Neurodevelopmental Disorders through her clinical work and her research. She is clinically certified and research reliable in the ADOS-2, and has extensive experience with other diagnostic and psychometric assessments. She is Level 1 RO-DBT certified. Emily is particularly passionate about helping individuals with NDD bridge adolescence and adulthood, and enjoys working with family and support systems during this transition.

Emily is able to help individuals manage their ongoing mood and anxiety disorders through developing a variety of skills and strategies so individuals can focus on getting back to the activities that matter most to them.

With 20 years of clinical experience, Sarah Schiffres-Grove brings a wealth of real-world depth to her practice. Her career has spanned inpatient and outpatient facilities, school systems, and general hospital settings, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the mental health landscape and the diverse challenges her clients face.
Sarah provides expert care to tweens, teens, and adults, with a dedicated focus on creating a non-judgmental space where healing can flourish.

Since joining Shire, he has been dedicated to transitioning from short-term crisis intervention to providing high-quality, long-term outpatient care. Based on the group practice's values, Steven is passionate about helping clients develop practical skills to manage their challenges through a hands-on, supportive partnership.

Since 2011, Rebekah has dedicated her career to supporting individuals and families on their unique journeys of growth, healing, and self-discovery. Rebekah’s education and training is rooted in using therapeutic interventions to seek successful outcomes utilizing evidence-based practices.
